With the launch of our new DB2 and DB3 bus services, we have taken the opportunity to simplify our range of services, fares and tickets in and around Dunstable. This page gives more information on the bus services we provide for local residents and visitors.
Our services
DB2: Dunstable Town Centre - Downside Estate
This bus starts at the ASDA supermarket, then runs via The Quadrant, The Square and down London Road to Downside Estate. On the return it drops off at The Square, Winston Churchill and ASDA. Buses run every 30 minutes, Monday to Saturday daytime.
DB3: Dunstable Town Centre - Langdale Estate
This bus also starts at the ASDA supermarket, then runs via The Quadrant, West Street, Meadway, Canesworde Road, Langdale Road, Lowther Road, Beech Road, then via London Road back to Dunstable, dropping off at The Square, Winston Churchill and ASDA. Buses on DB3 run every 30 minutes, Monday to Saturday daytime.
34: (St Albans) - Dunstable Town Centre - French's Avenue/Salters Way
Coming through from St Albans, route 34 also provides a local service linking South Dunstable (London Road), The Square, High Street North, passing the DIstrict Council Offices to French's Avenue, Salters Way, Sunbower Avenue, Barrie Avenue and Suncote Avenue. This route runs locally hourly at off-peak times, providing a useful link across Dunstable. Buses between Dunstable and St Albans runs more frequently
231: Dunstable - Caddington - Luton
X31: Dunstable - Milton Keynes, Dunstable - Luton, Dunstable - Hemel Hempstead, Dunstable - Toddington/Flitwick
Routes 231 and X31 provide regional bus links to neighbouring towns, including our frequent fast X31 service to Luton (Centre and Rail Station) via L&D Hospital (every 15-20 minutes)
366: Dunstable (Grove Theatre/College) - Woodside Industry - Luton - Welwyn Garden City - Hatfield
Starting from Dunstable College (by the Grove Theatre) route 366 provides a useful link, run about hourly, Monday to Friday

We have simplified the fares you pay locally within the Dunstable Town Area. A simple flat fare system is now operating, regardless of your journey length within the area.

366 between Dunstable College and Woodside Industrial Estate

DB1: Dunstable - Weatherby Estate

A service between Dunstable Town Centre and the Beecroft/Weatherby area is provided by Grant Palmer Passenger Services. Visit

Centrebus day, week and monthly tickets are available to buy and use on route DB1, giving you more flexible local travel. You can also buy a day ticket on the DB1, and use it to change on to route X31 for Luton at the Winston Churchill.

If you commute to London, you might want to know how Centrebus is working with First Capital Connect to provide simple through ticketing and travel to London.
