Route 82 is a high quality rural bus service linking Hitchin with Biggleswade, running hourly via Henlow, Henlow Camp (RAF) and Langford. Locally in Hitchin it also provides a vital community bus service for Hitchin housing areas, including Purwell.
Route 82 is operated using a modern fleet of low floor buses in our bright orange livery. They have efficient low emission engines, and improved suspension to ensure that your journey is smooth and comfortable. With plenty of space, they are ideal if you have luggage, or perhaps a shopping trolley, buggy, or children travelling with you. They are also fully wheelchair accessible.

A Great Day Out
Hitchin is well known for its traditional shopping, market, and excellent choice of cafes and restaurants. Biggleswade is also a popular choice for its market.
Hitchin market is held every Tuesday and Saturday, Biggleswade on Saturday.
Route 82 drops you off right in the middle of both Hitchin and Biggleswade, so you won't have far to walk before you shop, and no distance to walk to catch the bus home afterwards. And don't forget, you will save on car parking fees too.
The Bus and Train Connection
Route 82 also serves both Hitchin and Biggleswade Stations, so is the ideal way to start your journey if you are travelling further afield. Both stations have regular daily train services direct to London Kings Cross, more locally to Stevenage, and also northwards to Peterborough. At Peterborough, there are connections to a wide range of destinations, including Leeds, York, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Birmingham and Lincoln.
