| Centrebus Offers Great Value Bus Fares! Our simple local bus fares in the Luton and Dunstable area offer an extensive range of tickets for different occasions. Of course, you can buy a standard single ticket on the bus when you board, and day return tickets are available on many services, but it's always worth considering a day, weekly, or combination ticket that could save you money, from the range below. We have also simplified fares in other areas, including Stevenage and Hitchin. Luton & Dunstable Day Ticket
Priced at just £3.50 (or £2.40 for a valid concession), you get unlimited travel on Centrebus services locally in the Luton and Dunstable area. Just buy your day ticket on the first Centrebus you board, and show it to the driver each time you make another journey. For details of where you can use your day ticket, click here. If you wish to travel outside the Luton and Dunstable area, you should consider the Explorer network ticket. Pay a little bit more, and Hip Hop Day will give you the same travel with Centrebus in the Luton and Dunstable area, and travel in the same area with Arriva and Grant Palmer buses too. It is a great way to save time on your way home, get more flexibility on your travel, or to save money if you are travelling to an area where Centrebus do not run. Buy Hip Hop from your Centrebus driver for £4.20. Weekly, Monthly and Annual Tickets
If you travel regularly within the Luton and Dunstable area, our fixed price season ticket represents great value. Priced at just £8 for a week, £30 for a month, or £300 per annum, you can buy a weekly or monthly ticket from your Centrebus driver on any day of the week, or buy tickets for a month or longer through our online ticket office. If you need travel on Arriva and Grant Palmer buses in Luton and Dunstable too, Hip Hop Week is the ticket for you. You can buy Hip Hop Week from the Centrebus driver for £16.50, and you will get local travel in the Luton & Dunstable fare zone, as much as you like, for 7 days. For Centrebus weekly ticket holders, you will be saving £6.50 on the usual add on fare of an Arriva weekly ticket. If travelling locally in Stevenage, you can also benefit from a our fixed price range of day, week and month tickets, priced at £3, £8 and £30 respectively, and all available to buy on the bus. For local travel in Hitchin we also sell fixed price day, week and month tickets for £3, £10 and £37.50 respectively. For regular travellers on routes C2 and C3, our Lea Valley weekly ticket, priced at £10, is available to buy from bus drivers on those routes (and on C3X and Centrebus journeys on 311, where it is also valid). A monthly ticket option costs £37.50 If you travel to or from destinations outside the fixed price ticket areas, don't despair. We still offer a full range of season tickets, but the price you pay will be determined by the journey you make, and the ticket will then be valid between those points. Weekly and monthly tickets can be booguth on bus and the bus driver will be able to tell you the price. If you travel regularly, but perhaps not so often that you need to buy a season ticket, then Travel Club is for you. Annual membership costs £10 (plus admin fee), and then gives you 15% off standard single and return tickets for 12 months. You can buy online, and your membership card will be with you in a few days. It takes two to Tango. This great value ticket offers 15% off the price of standard return tickets for two people travelling together. All you need to do is show that you have a friend when you board the bus, and ask the driver for Tango. It really is that easy. Tango is valid on most Centrebus routes in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire (not currently valid on services operated by Stevenage Depot, or route 7 between Bishops Stortford and Stansted Airport. The Explorer ticket allows a day’s unlimited travel on the Centrebus network for ANY group of up to 4 people for only £12.50. An £8.50 ticket is available for one person along with a concessionary Explorer ticket, priced at £4.25.
You can buy your Explorer ticket on the first bus you travel on at any time of day. Most buses will have a sticker in the window to show that Explorer is issued and accepted on the bus, however, if you are unsure please ask the driver. You can also use Explorer on the buses of most other bus companies in Hertfordshire, and on certain other bus services in Bedfordshire. Through Tickets on routes 34 and 46
On routes 34 and 46, you can buy a through ticket onto the Uno Bus network, allowing you you transfer buses at Redbourn for a journey forward to Harpenden or Wheathampstead, or at St Albans for a journey through to Hatfield, Watford or London Colney, for example. This ticket, priced at £5, offers unlimited travel for the day on routes 34, 46, and the entire Uno Bus network for the day (but not on other Centrebus services - for this, please buy an explorer).
