| Centrebus Continues To Offer Great Value Bus Fares! Centrebus are pleased to announce that as from the 24th July 2010, we have revised and simpified local bus fares in the Luton and Dunstable area, we will continue to offer an extensive range of tickets for different occasions. Of course, you can buy a standard single ticket on the bus when you board, and day return tickets are available on many services, but it's always worth considering a day, weekly, or combination ticket that could save you money, from the range below. Priced at just £3.30 (or £2.20 for a valid concession), you get unlimited travel on Centrebus services locally in the Luton and Dunstable area. Just buy your day ticket on the first Centrebus you board, and show it to the driver each time you make another journey. For details of where you can use your day ticket, click here. If you wish to travel outside the Luton and Dunstable area, you should consider the Explorer network ticket. Weekly, Monthly and Annual Tickets
If you travel regularly within the Luton and Dunstable area, our fixed price season ticket represents great value. Priced at just £8 for a week, £30 for a month, or £300 per annum, you can buy a weekly or monthly ticket from your Centrebus driver on any day of the week, or pre-order online by completing the Season ticket request form. Your annual season ticket will then be sent to you by post. Don't forget to ask your employer if you qualify for a tax-free season ticket loan. If you travel to or from destinations outside the fixed price Luton and Dunstable area, don't despair. We still offer a full range of season tickets, but the price you pay will be determined by the journey you make, and the ticket will then be valid between those points. It takes two to Tango. This great value ticket offers 15% off the price of standard return tickets for two people travelling together. All you need to do is show that you have a friend when you board the bus, and ask the driver for Tango. It really is that easy. Tango is valid on most Centrebus routes in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire (not currently valid on services operated by Stevenage Depot, or route 7 between Bishops Stortford and Stansted Airport. The Explorer ticket allows a day’s unlimited travel on the Centrebus network for ANY group of up to 4 people for only £12. A £7 ticket is available for one person along with a concessionary Explorer ticket, priced at £3.50.
You can buy your Explorer ticket on the first bus you travel on at any time of day. Most buses will have a sticker in the window to show that Explorer is issued and accepted on the bus, however, if you are unsure please ask the driver. You can also use Explorer on the buses of most other bus companies in Hertfordshire, and on certain other bus services in Bedfordshire. Through Tickets on routes 34 and 46
On routes 34 and 46, you can buy a through ticket onto the Uno Bus network, allowing you you transfer buses at Redbourn for a journey forward to Harpenden or Wheathampstead, or at St Albans for a journey through to Hatfield, Watford or London Colney, for example. This ticket, priced at £5, offers unlimited travel for the day on routes 34, 46, and the entire Uno Bus network for the day (but not on other Centrebus services - for this, please buy an explorer). It's a discount price ticket for unlimited bus travel that you buy with your train ticket. So you pay for your complete train and bus journey in one easy transaction. You can now buy your season ticket at your local payzone accredited newsagent. Many payzone outlets in Luton are now selling Luton area season tickets, priced at just £8 for a week, or £30 for 4 weeks. A new network ticket is also available at payzone outlets. This ticket offers unlimited travel on any* Centrebus bus service, anywhere*, for either a week at £19.50, or 4 weeks at £70.
